What a day of work!

This morning started out fine... I was cleaning out the boom cell to get ready to set it all up. There was a small parts rack for another cell in there and I had to cut it up to throw it away. Naturally I used the plasma cutter that was in the cell already for re-work. I got about 3/4 of the way done and the plasma stopped working, now I thought it might just be the consumables. I went on a search to find some since the area I work in was fresh out. I talked with a couple of the guys up in Kaizen and they tried the tip out on their plasma and it worked just fine... go figure! Eric and I then came to the conclusion that the machine itself crapped out= tag it and send it out to be repaired, Damn that sucks.

Going along with setting up the boom cell Collin and I had move the material handlers and fixtures around. This means that I need to use a forklift to move this stuff around. I moved a pallet down an aisle way and as I was backing out I bumped into a cart that was sitting on the left side. The cart then proceeded to bump into one of the posts on the chassis cell... effectively dislodging it from its anchor in the floor with enough force to do the same to another one downstream. Now I gotta get off the forklift grab a BFH (big effin hammer) and beat these posts back into line. After they get as close as their gonna get I put everything back in place so that maybe Carlos won't notice...He did... I guess I overlooked the markers that I knocked off the signal board. Oh well I was going to tell him anyway ~wink wink~

Today was Safety Team meeting which ended up being an hour and 15. Just after I got out of the meeting and turn my radio back on I get a call that the Kasuga is having problems (the Kasuga is one of the mills I support) Any how nothing out of the ordinary these machines have problems on an almost daily basis. Much to my surprise this is a big problem, the machine had been crashed HARD... The fixture had a total of 5 bolts (that hold various elements of the fixture down) completely sheared off :-0 Good thing it was the end of the day and Matt was already in otherwise I would have had alot to do!
